The risks of having the wrong size bra are: you won't feel comfortable, so you won't necessarily be at your best in style and confidence, and we don't like that at Titits !

Find the right bra size for you

Calculate your bra size

Before heading to your site or your favorite store, you need to know your CURRENT bra size. So get a tape measure to measure your chest circumference and your back circumference.

If you're still a young girl and it's your big first, read this article instead

If you don't have a tape measure, know that it is easily found in supermarkets or haberdasheries.

When you go to take the measurements, stand up straight so that it sticks as much as possible!

Start by measuring your chest circumference , wrap the tape horizontally loosely around your bust, passing it from the tip of your breasts and under your armpits.

Take the time to write down the measurement on your laptop or on your paper.

Then you can move on to measuring your back circumference . Do like the last step except that the ribbon comes under the breasts, logical!

To know the equivalence of your back circumference in cm, you can consult the following table:

The beanie difference

Without going into scholarly calculations, it is the difference between your back measurement and your chest measurement that will determine the size of your cup , AA, A, B etc.

bra size

Let's take for example a back circumference of 75 cm and a chest circumference of 90 cm, you just have to calculate the difference. 90 - 75 = 15cm,

Taaaadiiinnn so you are in the B cup team. Now it remains to discover your number which comes in front of the cup.

The easiest way is to refer to the table below:

If in doubt between two bra sizes, always choose, I mean always the bigger one!

The sizes exist from 5 to 5, so you can easily be between two sizes.

Remember that the hooks are there to more precisely adapt the bra to your body.

According to “fashion experts”, if you are in 70 and 85 AA, A and B you are in the club of small breasts , so welcome to Titits where we are among women proud of our small breasts !

Finally remember to take your measurements every 6 months, indeed in winter and summer for example or after pregnancy or weight loss.

Are there any consequences if I wear the wrong bra?

Poorly measured waist, thin and poor quality straps make your body feel good.

Beyond style and aesthetics, wearing an ill-fitting bra can lead to health issues you may not be aware of. It is therefore important to know your size well to choose your next favorite bra.

Women with poorly supported breasts can often experience posture problems, often adopting a slouched position, if you add a sedentary lifestyle, the combination in the medium term can be problematic for your body

  • Back pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Neck tension
  • Fragile cervical...

The more you have a large chest, the more the pain will be present and frequent.

Renewing your bras is important for well-being.

A bra that is too tight can also create skin problems, for example underwires that dig too deep into the skin can cause redness or even worse if repeated.

To avoid these misadventures, beyond the size, consider taking models including a maximum of cotton, it is perfect for fragile skin. If you choose another material like tulle, you may have a bad surprise.

Cotton lingerie is very widely recommended for fragile skin.

Good for your health, good for your confidence and good for your style...

The size is one thing, we can also ask the question of the shape!

Which type of bra to choose?

Which bra for small breasts?

You now know your size, admit that it took you less than 3 minutes, it was not a lie!

Know that you have the choice between several forms, which is rather pleasant!

The demi-cup bra, triangle bra, bandeau or even push-ups (we're not a fan of the latter), so how do you make a stylistic choice in all of this?

  • The half cup bra is perfect for small and medium breasts. Its specificity is that the straps are attached to the ends of the cups. This naturally lifts the chest and gives it visual volume while ensuring a light and comfortable support.
  • The non-wired triangle bra offers pleasant support for small and medium-sized breasts. They offer a natural curve to your chest. The straps are integrated into the upper part of the cup offering better support. For more generous breasts it also works but you will have to choose, it is also suitable for cups C, D etc., but with underwiring.

  • The bandeau bra is a model with a straight neckline, most often without straps. It will be more suitable for small and medium breasts, it does not necessarily provide optimal support for generous breasts. It's a perfect piece to wear under an off-the-shoulder dress or a floaty top.

  • The balconette bra , very low-cut, it will raise your breasts upwards with significant support by its underwiring, we do not recommend it if you have small breasts.

  • The push-up bra , it lifts the chest thanks to its pads and gives a significant volume effect. So you may know it but at Titits we want you to be proud of your small breasts, so use a bra that disguises your body, we are not for it, however you are free to wear one.

Tips to know about bras

We mentioned it earlier in this article, prefer natural materials such as cotton!

To put it simply, avoid lycra, elastane (except for sports) it's comfortable and we'll never be against having a micro percentage of it in our underwear, but these are materials that don't hold up well over time.

Let's talk a bit about your suspenders , they shouldn't slip off your shoulders and they shouldn't saw you off this one either, the image is a bit on the sharp side, but find the happy medium.

Regarding the frames , they should never bother you. They are made to support and maintain the bust so if they hurt you choose a larger size.

We have grouped together other questions that you often ask, so here is something to definitively remove all the mysteries about the bra!

How to properly adjust a bra?

So yes you have to have a good size bra but you also have to position it well. Wearing a bra that doesn't fit properly can be very uncomfortable. Beyond its unattractive appearance, it is above all for your health that you must worry (see back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, etc.)

If your bra is well adjusted, it is possible that it will be completely forgotten!

How to adjust the straps according to my body?

The straps are there to adjust according to the length you have between the top of your shoulder and the point of the breast. To find the perfect balance, we have a tip for you!

If after adjusting the straps you manage to pass your finger between the strap and the shoulder, it is OK. If this is not the case, it is too tight and there is a risk of be uncomfortable!

How to properly adjust bra clips?

First rule, you must put the back of your bra parallel to the ground (namely the strip of fabric that goes from the cup to your back)

If the back of the bra rides up, this may be the cause of incorrect positioning of the hooks. Often the middle position is suitable, to test and it is also ideal, you must be able to pass two fingers between the fabric of the bra and your back. The idea is always to find the right balance between support and comfort.

Does my bra fit my chest?

Have you tried playing with straps and clasps but the result is mixed?

If your bra isn't brand new, it may be time to change it, or you haven't chosen it correctly according to your morphology. Is your breast pear, apple, pear or tangerine shaped? Go back a little higher and find out what we have recommended for the shapes of bras, baskets, triangles...

My bra cups are wrinkling, why?

You have the impression that your chest is not well supported, there is a good chance that the cups will crease unattractively, result: the top of the cup is not in contact with your skin.

You have surely chosen a model that is too big or you have been fooled by a brand that bases its original patterns on the 90C standard.

The underwire bothers me and is not adjusted, any solution?

For underwires to be effective, they must perfectly fit your breasts. Above all, they must not crush them and if this is the case, opt for a larger size.

Why is the band of my bra going up my back?

The band is the most important part in creating a proper bra!

So what if it goes back up, despite your attempts at adjusting the clasps? Try lengthening the straps a little to reduce the tension and if that doesn't work, your bra has probably become too big.
